Who Runs The Room

Disport Entertainment started as a stage & event lighting company and grew into a full production outfit because clients kept asking for one team instead of five.

Owner Al Rivera is a retired U.S. Marine who has lived and worked across the country and overseas — from Japan to Texas to New England — before settling in to build Disport around Rhode Island and Massachusetts. He's also a dance teacher, coach, and performer, which is part of why Disport's lighting and DJ work is built around keeping a dance floor full, not just lit.

Today Disport handles lighting design, DJ & MC hosting, photography, videography, and dance entertainment — booked together or on their own.
